Mercy Health Physicians is seeking a Vice President of Physician Recruitment to provide system leadership around the strategy, development, and execution of its Provider Workforce Plan in alignment with the mission, values, and promise of Mercy Health (MH).
The Vice President of Physician Recruitment will lead the Ministry in developing a process that ensures the Provider Workforce Plan is fully vetted and approved within a timeline that allows for successful recruitment and on-boarding of new providers within each budget year.
To develop the annual Provider Workforce Plan (PWP), the Vice President of Physician Recruitment will work collaboratively with home office and regional leaders from strategy, business development, operations, finance, service lines and/or clinical programs, and recruitment.
The plan will consider primary care and specialty care gaps within the clinically integrated network, succession planning, and clinical programming strategies.
Upon annual development and approval of the PWP, the Vice President of Physician Recruitment will work closely with regional recruiters across the Ministry to ensure optimal execution on the fulfillment of the Provider Workforce Plan.
Qualifications - Minimum
Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field.
Significant years of progressive responsibility and experience in the various aspects of multispecialty physician practice physician for large groups within complex healthcare systems.
A high level of strategic and analytical ability necessary.
A high level of interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with home office and regional leaders from strategy, business development, operations, finance, service lines and/or clinical programs, and recruitment.
Knowledgeable of emerging health care issues and trends.
A high energy team player with a strong work ethic. This is a leader who is results oriented, eager to problem solve and can effectively facilitate change.
Proven change agent who understands systems engineering and the use of data analytics to drive positive results. Experienced in leading and implementing innovative performance improvement initiates to achieve desired outcomes.
A broad, creative thinker, capable of seeing both the big picture and the detail involved in implementing the big picture.
An excellent communicator and listener – a skilled writer and speaker, capable of communicating on behalf of the organization to internal and external audiences, and receptive to viable suggestions from others.
