Position Summary: This position contributes to the fulfillment of Thayer County Health Services vision and mission by assuring that the behavioral health needs of those in the communities we service are provided for in an efficient and effective manner.
SUPERVISION: Reports to the VP of Clinic Services
Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a behavioral health or related field preferred.
Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing or other related behavioral health field preferred.
Must have a current license/certification in Nebraska.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Provide behavioral/mental health services for adults and children/youth in individual, group, or family therapy as needed by the department.
Provide behavioral/mental health consultation to TCHS staff as directed.
Assist medical staff, within scope of practice, with medication management.
Administer such behavioral/mental health assessments as necessary to diagnose and/or provide objective function measures as necessary and as mandated.
Collaborate to develop and implement behavioral/mental health Quality Assurance processes as required to maintain compliance with all Federal, State, County, and facility requirements.
Collaborate with medical staff and outside consultants as needed.
Keeps skills up to date and increases knowledge and productivity.
Ensures electronic records are properly maintained and kept up to date.
Maintains timely flow of patients.
Accurately document all pertinent information in the electronic health record.
Assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of standards.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Schedules patients as needed.
Attend regular staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.
Thayer County Health Services (TCHS) is a comprehensive primary care system providing health and wellness services to the citizens of Hebron, Nebraska and the surrounding communities in Nebraska and Kansas. TCHS is comprised of a 17-bed Critical Access Hospital, a clinic in Hebron, and five satellite clinics in Bruning, Chester, Davenport, Deshler, and Milligan. TCHS’s tradition of caring began ...in 1948 and today we employ over 140 people, admit over 550 inpatients/year, register over 17,500 outpatients per year, and conduct over 18,000 visits in our six clinics.
TCHS just completed a $6.9 million Korff Fitness Center and Rehabilitation Services addition and will be finishing a $7.0 million hospital renovation project this fall including two new LDR rooms, new nursery/nurse’s station, new operating room/sterile processing area, new specialty clinic, new Medical Records department, new pharmacy (hospital and retail), new emergency rooms, a new kitchen/cafeteria and new conference rooms.
