Ochiltree County Hospital District (OCHD) in Perryton, Texas is seeking a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Director to serve their facility. OCHD is looking for a professional to be responsible for this successful and growing department with the ability to “take it to the next level”. The candidate should have well developed leadership and management abilities; including developing and managing a budget, as well as a working knowledge of Medicare RHC Conditions of Participation. Responsibilities encompass not only the management of an existing clinic, but demonstrated skills at developing and opening new RHCs as well as the integration of the department(s) into the overall functioning of the District. The Director must, at all times, project a “customer first” attitude with the patients and staff of the clinic, and colleagues in the organization. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are an absolute must.
Ochiltree County Hospital District in Perryton, Texas is a growing integrated healthcare delivery organization located in the northeastern Texas panhandle, operating a newly renovated 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a rural health clinic, home health, hospice, and a 32-unit assisted living facility. The Hospital ED is a certified LEVEL IV Trauma Center and they provide emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hospital offers Diagnostic Imaging, MRI, Outpatient Services, Physical Therapy/Rehab, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, Social Services, OB, OR and swing bed programs, among other services.
The successful candidate for RHC Director should possess a bachelor’s degree (healthcare management preferred); three to four (3-4) years of clinic experience is desired. They will report to and work closely with the CEO, with responsibility of overseeing the RHC. This individual should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be able to successfully relate to, manage and supervise physicians and employees. The selected individual will also demonstrate a commitment to providing a superior patient experience. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with rural healthcare and hospital district experience.

Perryton has a population of around 9,500 people. Perryton is approximately 115 miles north east of Amarillo, Texas and 45 miles south of Liberal, Kansas.
