JOB SUMMARY: The Program Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their psychosocial needs while enabling them to access, through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for individuals/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, providing information and referrals as needed, and individual therapy when ordered by an MD. Provides variety of psychotherapeutic services, group, family, individual to individuals in psychiatric hospital setting, presenting with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders and other behavioral disorders. Provides social services, including, but not limited to discharge planning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed in Florida at the Master's level for Mental Health Therapist. Possess a degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy (or the equivalent) from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, or related human service. Experience working with children and adults with serious emotional disturbances, trauma, and abuse/neglect issues. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings and possibly weekends. This is a Per Diem position assigned to our Clinical Services Department.
Key Responsibilities: Provide psychotherapy services. Provide screening, ongoing assessment, treatment planning, treatment plan reviews, treatment plan addendum, completion of outcome measures and other required activities. Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy to adults, children and families in adherence with the treatment plan. Maintain complete, timely and accurate and comprehensive records within a 72-hour time frame. Maintain client charts and clinical documentation in compliance.
