The Corporate Director, Human Resources is a key leadership role and is responsible for developing, planning and delivering programs for Corporate, Acute Care and Behavioral Health plus Independence Physician Management (â€œAll Divisionsâ€�).
Direct responsibility for Human Resources Operations, Learning and Development, Executive Development, and Corporate Travel. Â Â As a senior Human Resources leader, provides HR leadership, organizational assessment and development, and technical expertise in a variety of areas including but not limited to: strategy, employee relations, employee retention, organizational change, and measurement of HR initiative effectiveness, employment law, talent acquisition process, regulatory compliance, and compensation. Â
Oversight for All Divisions includes but is not limited to: managing HR integration plan for new acquisitions (DE novo and Joint Ventures) and development and interpretation of HR policies, Employee Handbooks, directing activities of All Divisions Facility HRDs/CEOs, partnering with Company labor relations department, assisting Corporate Legal with external complaints (e.g., EEOC, State Civil Rights, OSHA, and NLRB, etc.), trending employee relations data, development and presentation of HR competency training programs, conducting regular site visits, HRD orientation, and other training programs, etc. Leads and directs all employee relations matters and programs for All Divisions.Â
Directs Corporate Learning & Development and Executive Development departments.Â Provides oversight with leadership development, executive development, and other Corporate training programs (e.g., Service Excellence, New Executive Orientation, etc.).Â Additionally, monitors resource allocation for the design, development, and facilitation of all Corporate training programs to ensure they are within budget.
Leads key management initiatives (e.g., m3, L3, RN Turnover Analysis, etc.) and works closely with senior leaders to create a culture where employees can grow, develop, and achieve outstanding business objectives.
Provides oversight of Corporate travel functions (e.g., on-site agent, vendor management, monitoring Corporate employee compliance with travel program, etc.).Â Annually monitors travel status upgrades with key and other executives.Â
Essential Job Duties:
Provides HR leadership to drive HR strategy, employee retention and relations, employee engagement, organization change, regulatory compliance.Â
Leads, directs and manages the HR Operations team that supports a multi-site/multi-state environment for All Divisions.
Operational responsibility for Learning and Development teams
Operational responsibility for Executive Development programs.
Measures the effectiveness of HR programs to ensure they are supporting business objectives and delivering a return on investment.Â
Provides targeted HR training programs to ensure the competency of Facility HRDs.
Leads key management initiatives while working closely with Senior Management to achieve business objectives are met.
Periodically conducts Facility HR site visits to ensure compliance with Company HR processes and policies.Â
Operational responsibility for HR integration with new acquisition, De novo, and Joint Ventures.
Responsible for the development and implementation of model HR policies and employee handbooks.
Ensures all Facilities are compliant with the Alternative Resolution of Conflict (ARC) program.
Oversees the Dispute Resolution/Problem Solving Procedure and serves as the investigator for internal disputes that escalate to step 5 or as designated by SVP, HR.
Provides guidance to Facilities regarding compliance with employment laws (e.g., Title VII, DOL W&H, NLRB, I-9s).
Regularly communicates department progress using weekly (1:1 and department meetings), monthly, and quarterly reports.Â
Ensures proper vendor management for background screening, s/a testing, assessment partners, measurement of HR effectiveness, engagement survey.
Prepares and monitors annual budget process for HR Operations, Learning and Development, Executive Development, and Corporate Travel.Â
Oversight of Corporate Travel programs (e.g., on-site agent, portal, compliance with policy,
Knowledgeable of labor relations and union avoidance strategies.Â
Responsible for the development of staff reporting directly to the Corporate Director, HR.
