The Behavior Intervention Specialist assists the treatment team by providing a safe, supportive environment where students who have become disruptive to the class or school community are empowered to work through difficult situations in order to return to class as a positive member of the community.Â The person in this position provides support in classroom management and in-house suspension management. Â Duties also include documentation of time outs, restraint, and use of seclusion, and routinely evaluates staff in the implementation of intervention strategies.
