Cedar Creek Hospital is an acute care psychiatric treatment facility located in St. John's Michigan just 30 minutes north of Lansing. This new facility opened in the fourth quarter of 2017 and serves both adults and adolescent populations in both inpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Cedar Creek Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Director of Business Development to join our team of dedicated professionals. The Director of Business Development will lead and coordinate the organization's efforts to effectively communicate and develop referring relationships with payors, professional referral sources, consumers and other customers so that their needs are served, they understand how to best use the hospital services, and the organization experiences positive business development.
Essential job functions include the following:
In consultation with the CEO, designs, develops, implements and manages the marketing philosophy, policy, procedures and strategic goals for the organization.
Serves as the leader, manager and trainer of the marketing team's sales and marketing programs.
Develops, implements and evaluates monthly, seasonal, annual marketing plans with input from the CEO and other members of the senior management team as needed. Develops marketing budget to support marketing plans. Monitors marketing budget throughout the year.
Develops and maintains service relationships and service systems with/for key clients often including managed care organizations, professional referral sources, professional medical staff, EAPs and other target segments and special referral sources.
Monitors satisfaction of patients, referral sources and other customers.
Responsible for comprehensive analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT); referral/admission tracking and other parts of Monthly Marketing Report; consults with Assessment and Referral Department and monitors test calls. Responsible for monitoring referral source communication systems.
Prepares Monthly Marketing Reports and other marketing reports, as needed.
Will be service oriented, acting as facility resource person. Will favorably interact, communicate and cooperate with all departments within the organization, as well as with external customers including managed care organizations, professional referral sources, patients and families, etc.
Will promote a positive image of the facility and Universal Health Services, Inc.
Maintains relationships with Quality Management function of the organization so that information from customers is documented and responded to.
