Directs the activities of associates providing a variety of diagnostic and treatment procedures for patients with sleep disorders and pulmonary diseases, including but not limited to patient scheduling, educational training and Physician communications. Establishes necessary policies, procedures, standards and objectives to provide the highest standards of patient care. Determines staffing, equipment needs of department and is accountable for budgetary goals.
Manages staff engaged in activities related to respiratory therapy and patient life support. Recommends and revises policies and develops performance standards to maintain patient rehabilitation and therapy. Assures productivity and financial goals are met.
Graduate from an AMA Respiratory Program. Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
Five years of experience is required which includes: three year'sexperience in repiratory therapy and two year's lead/shift therapist or supervisory experience is required. Advanced work in repiratory field preferred.
License,Registration, or Certifications:
Registered Respiratory THerapist with a current Louisiana License.
