The Manager Pre-Construction supports all physical plant construction, renovation, restoration & major repair programs at any BH/Acute facility. Advises individual facility managing director and creates accurate project cost estimates to assist the facilities in growth planning and implementation for buildings and the facility campus. Identifies project cost risk that may significantly impact the price or schedule of the build.
Essential Job Duties:
Estimates all construction projects while closely working with RVP, C-Suite, RPM, RFM/DPO, FF&E and IT in the development of project scope and price.
Ensures project estimates incorporate latest Behavioral Health/Acute construction standards and best practices. Guides project teams in following the CAR/PAC process for pre-validation, validation and request for full funding.
Manages multiple projects at a time and provides detailed hand-off reports when transition from pre-construction to project management.
Utilizes the collected data on completed projects to enhance and continually improve UHS cost and program modeling tools.
