Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years.  Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages.  Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama.  Our mission is simple:  to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.

We are currently seeking energetic and dynamic applicants to join our team as a Mental Health Associate, Second Shift.

Mental Health Associates' primary responsibilities are to provide close supervision, assistance with daily living skills, documentation and behavior management for youth in our residential program.  Engagement with youth, appropriate boundaries, and an ability to manage potentially aggressive behavior is required.

Second shift hours are primarily 3pm to 11:30pm three days per week, plus 9am-9:30pm every other weekend.  Full benefits are offered, including health, dental and vision insurance and 401k match.  Pay is based on education and experience, with shift premium paid for hours worked between 3pm and 11pm.

Bachelor's degree or some college in Human Services field and/or equivalent experience preferred.  Must be 21 years or older, pass a successful background check and drug screen, and be able to attend 2 weeks of New Employee Orientation on day shift
